English-Arabic Simultaneous Interpreting for the Safeguarding Electoral Integrity in the Digital Age Conference


I served as the sole English-Arabic simultaneous interpreter and translator for the conference delegates from Arab countries.

The conference was organized by the Electoral Commission of South Africa in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in South Africa, under the theme 'Safeguarding Electoral Integrity in the Digital Age: Strategies for Combating Digital Disinformation, an African Conference.'

The conference took place from March 2 to 5, 2020, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CCICC) and was attended by nearly 200 delegates, including senior representatives from over 30 election management bodies (EMBs) across Africa, as well as election professionals and digital media experts from around the world, including representatives from major social media platforms.
