On Monday, September 25, 2023, I had the privilege to serve as an English-Arabic interpreter alongside my colleague Sharaf Alhourani for the UN Conference - 15 Years, One Vision: Knowledge for Tomorrow, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
During
this conference, we witnessed the launch of the Regional Skills
Initiative, an innovative pilot program led by the United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Knowledge Foundation (MBRF). This initiative has a compelling goal: to
upskill and reskill citizens across the Arab region, addressing the
challenges posed by interconnected crises.
